Blues BB King - Genre Research

BB king 16th December 1925 Ranked Number 3 in Rolling Stones magazine and seen as the king of blues he is one of the most influential people not only blues but in music he was initiated in the Rock hall of fame in 1987 and is still rocking to this day! BB King basically is the man if there was a man in music to look up to it would be him. He would talk in his music about how music has bought him up in life. You never have to tell him what key the songs in or the chords he can feel it. He has a pure attachment to the Guitar and a great love for music! Effortlessly amazing! “Lucille didn't want to play nothing but the blues” truly connects to his instrument he says that “Lucille” can sing and he will never singer while she is. it’s like he’s having a conversation! He has back and forth with his guitar “ask and response”. Technique which is amazing.

Goodwins Theory

Goodwins theory is the idea of added characteristic to a music video. This can change depending on the genre but the idea is the same, a pop video might be quite bubbly and happy, for example, Katy Perry's Roar. Whereas a Rock video might be quite dark, for example, Marilyn Mason's Sweet Dreams

Genre Research - Jimi Hendrix

Jimi Hendrix born 27th  November 1942 and died 18th September 1970. The man who change blues music with his own unique tones he would creates sounds that other guitarist wouldn’t touch being the first electric blues guitarist to use feed back in a good way. He all on pioneered via pushing the “Wah Wah” pedal in to main stream Rock. Hendrix was ranked number one in rolling stones magazine.

Artist - David Bowie

David Bowie born in 1947 has been a musical inspiration for over 4 decades he cracked every genre of music that was available to him and he took it all in his stride Classic Hits like Rebel Rebel and Heroes both songs spanning across to totally different genres and time periods. The thing about David Bowie is that he truly knows what he’s doing and talking about, despite some very strange and random lyric choices. He is an extremely intelligent human being. Bowie recently realised a new album with barely any press but it still went up a smash. He makes loyal fans. David Bowie when it comes to music truly is a Chameleon of the music industry.

Sweet Child O' Mine: Goodwins Theory

Sweet Child O Mine

It's made to look like they've just walked up to there amps plugged in and played. Just some friends having a jamming session. There is a grey distorted effect used on the video as if it was just filmed on any old camera, to make it seem as if it was all just thrown together.

Panic! At The Disco: Goodwins Theory

Panic at the discos Ballad of Mona Lisa

This video is very sinister it is about betrayal and it's set in a steam punk fashion. The whole setting of the video is a funeral, which is marked by murder and betrayal. You can see this as the lead singer whole has been murdered is walking around as a Ghost/Phantom trying to bring the true details of his death to light. How he achieves this is that in life he wrote down the name of his "Killer" and placed the name in his pocket. In the end he speaks to a little girl and she discovers the note. The last sentence of the song is "Theirs nothing wrong with just a taste of what you've paid for" meaning the murderer who is now being punished got what she deserved.
